The Eddie Herr International Championships were held in Bradenton, Florida from Nov. 22-Dec. 2. Regina’s Isabella Yan, Regina, won her first two rounds in the under-12 girls singles event before losing out in the round of 16.
The Junior Orange Bowl was held in Coral Gables, Florida from Dec. 12-21, where Yan won her first four rounds (beating the No. 2 seed in the third round), before losing in the quarter-finals to No. 7-seed Megan Knight of Suffolk, England.
Ethan Guo, also from Regina, qualified for the main draw.
The Eddie Herr and Orange Bowl are two of the biggest junior tournaments in the world. Great job you two!
