Saskatchewan native Keegan Rice has won his first match in a Men’s ITF event in Romania. Rice defeated Czech player Filip Apltauer in three sets, 4-6, 6-1, 7-6, before losing in the next round to Michiel Da Krom of the Netherlands.

Last month, Keegan kicked off the European clay season at the Junior French Open, where he won his first round of the main draw.
